Oh hey. We just thought we’d let you know that, for your pleasure (or displeasure) and ours, we’re adding a new section to The (Eternal) Beginner’s Guide to Bend: Bend Politics. The first page in our Bend Politics section offers a *view* on the most recent Knute Buehler town hall. Enjoy.
Bend Politics And Knute Buehler, Tally-Ho!
Whether a result of angst, maturity, or both, Bend politics have found their way onto the (e)BGTB blog. Then again, I bet they’ve always been there, with the personal being so political and all. Either way, join us in the ongoing conversation by reading our opening statement, as well as our first town hall recap (starring Knute Buehler), and by voicing your own personal thoughts and sentiments on Bend politics in general.
FYI. For awhile now, folks have been calling on Representative Greg Walden to hold a public and in-person town hall in Bend. At last, the calls have been heard from somewhere over the rainbow and Walden will be in Bend this coming Thursday, April 13, at 5pm, Mountain View High School. **Update: Greg Walden held his town hall last week and we went and it was insane. Well, maybe not insane, but… it stood as a semi-decent overview of a slice of humanity. It was fascinating and disheartening and chaotic at best. And we’ll write about it here in our Bend Politics section soon. Stay tuned.
After holding a very well-attended town hall in Sisters, Oregon this past February, Senator Ron Wyden will be returning to Bend for another round. You’ll find Wyden at the Summit High School Gym on Monday, April 17, at 5pm.
Now carry on and go forth with fierce love, Bendites and/or future constituents of Deschutes County. And don’t hate us too much. We heart you!
